Transport Manager

Description

As the Transport Manager you will,

• Manage daily transport operations based in West Yorkshire, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods.
• Oversee fleet management, including vehicle maintenance and compliance with regulations.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimise logistics processes and reduce costs.
• Monitor driver performance and ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Analyse transport data and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
• Resolve transport-related issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.

Profile

The successful Transport Manager candidate should have:

• Proven experience in transport ideally managing fleets up c 50 HGVs with a CPC, and be available to start within a week
• Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements with a background of embedding systems and process
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Proficiency in analysing data to drive operational improvements.
• Experience in fleet management and route optimisation.
• A solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

• Competitive salary ranging , circa -60,000
