Transport Manager Location: Ormskirk, Lancashire Salary: 45,000 per annum Contract Type: PermanentBenefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, private healthcare and profit share bonus HRGO Recruitment is working with a well-established and growing business who are looking to appoint an experienced Transport Manager to join their ambitious team in Ormskirk.This role offers the chance to take responsibility for the transport operation, ensuring all activities are fully compliant, efficient, and cost-effective while maintaining high standards of safety and service.The role:Supervise and support a team of drivers in a busy, fast-moving environmentEnsure all transport activities meet health and safety requirements and legal compliance standardsManage day-to-day transport planning, scheduling, and route optimisationMaintain compliance with O Licence obligationsOversee tachograph records and Working Time Directive adherenceCoordinate closely with warehouse and operational departments to support smooth distributionTrack and review transport performance indicators, including cost control and delivery targetsInvestigate incidents, breaches, and compliance-related issuesAssist with both internal and external audit processesThe candidate: Previous experience in a Transport Manager roleHolder of a valid CPC National/International qualification (essential)Strong knowledge of transport legislation and O Licence complianceExperience managing HGV drivers and transport teamsExcellent ..... full job details .....
