The role involves managing fleet compliance, driver performance, route planning, transport costs and customer service. The successful candidate will also review existing processes, introduce operational improvements and develop a transport strategy that supports future growth. Key Responsibilities of a Transport Manager Manage the transport operation in line with the Operator’s Licence and all relevant legislation. Lead, support and develop a team of HGV Drivers and a Transport Assistant. Maintain high standards of safety, compliance and customer service. Plan and review delivery routes, schedules and delivery frequencies. Improve vehicle utilisation, productivity and payload efficiency. Review future fleet requirements and vehicle specifications.
