Transport Manager

Position: Transport Manager
Location: Worcester
Salary: -35,000 - -42,000

Our client is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to support the efficient running of their busy transport operation based in Worcester. Working closely with the Transport Office Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring fleet compliance, operational efficiency, and adherence to all transport and health & safety legislation.

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment, requiring flexibility and a proactive approach to managing fleet operations and supporting day-to-day transport activities.

Job Overview

• Manage the fleet to ensure full compliance with all relevant transport legislation
• Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, ensuring regular audits and adherence
• Monitor and implement any changes in transport legislation
• Ensure all Health & Safety standards are met within the department
• Act as the main point of contact for motor insurance matters
• Check and manage daily vehicle defect reports
• Ensure all vehicles are correctly licensed, registered, and insured
• Coordinate vehicle scheduling across the site for maintenance and repairs
• Support the Transport Office Manager with daily operational requirements
• Occasional travel to the Wales depot as required
• Undertake any additional duties in line with business needs

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year''s experience in a Transport Management role
• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) in Road Haulage (International)
• Strong understanding of transport legislation and health & safety requirements
• Proven experience within transport or logistics environments
• Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills
• Ability to prioritise workload effectively in a fast-paced setting
• Flexible approach to working hours in line with operational demands
• Full UK Driving Licence

• -35,000 - -42,000
• Monday to Friday - Rotating shift pattern:
  • 10:00am - 7:00pm
  • 8:00am - 5:00pm
• Full-time, permanent position
• On-site role based in Worcester
