Transport Manager

We are seeking a qualified and proactive Transport Manager to oversee compliance and operational excellence across multiple client operator licences. This is a pivotal role for someone with a strong grasp of transport legislation and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Day to day you will:-

•    Serve as the named Transport Manager on client operator licences, ensuring full compliance with statutory undertakings.
•    Manage maintenance schedules, PMIs, MOTs, tachograph analysis, and drivers’ hours compliance across client fleets.
•    Conduct audits and compliance checks on client systems and documentation.
•    Prepare for and support DVSA and Traffic Commissioner inspections.
•    Provide expert guidance on transport legislation and practical compliance solutions.
•    Prepare client documentation and compliance reports.
•    Support the Director in managing consultancy projects and retainer contracts.

what we’re looking for.

We need someone who is naturally highly organised in this role, and who can manage changing priorities whilst working with the utmost attention to detail, 

•    CPC in Road Haulage (National or International).
•    In-depth understanding of DVSA compliance, tachographs, drivers’ hours, and operator licensing.
•    Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts across diverse sectors.
•    Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Excel, and related IT systems.
