Transport Manager

A well-established and growing company is looking to appoint a proactive and hands-on Transport Manager to join their s business on the outskirts of Kidderminster.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, combining transport planning, compliance, and customer interaction within a busy, fast-paced environment.The RoleYou ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of transport operations, working closely with the Depot Manager. Responsibilities will include: Coordinating and planning multi-drop deliveries to customersMaximising route efficiency through strong geographical knowledgeManaging vehicle maintenance schedules and bookingsMonitoring driver compliance, including tachograph downloads and recordsEnsuring adherence to driving hours regulations and Working Time DirectiveSupporting the wider team with customer interaction, including answering calls and assisting at the trade counter This is a hands-on position where no two days are the same, offering exposure to both operational and customer-facing aspects of the business.About YouThe ideal candidate will bring: Previous experience within a busy transport or logistics environmentCPC qualification and strong tachograph knowledge (essential)A solid understanding of driver compliance, WTD, and transport regulationsExperience within a builders merchants, construction supply, or similar environment (highly desirable)Confidence dealing with customers both over the phone and ..... full job details .....
