Transport Manager

Job Title: Transport Manager Location: Doncaster Salary: 45,000 per annum We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Manager to join a logistics operation based in Doncaster. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and professional transport professional to take ownership of a growing fleet and play a key role in the success of the business. Role Overview: As Transport Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management of a fleet, covering 2 contracts across designated regions. You will ensure full compliance with all transport legislation, deliver operational excellence, and support the development and growth of the transport function. Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operation of the transport department. Oversee a fleet of 8 HGV lorries and ensure vehicles are maintained, serviced, and roadworthy. Lead and support drivers, ensuring adherence to regulations and company standards. Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, operator licence obligations, and health and safety. Monitor transport performance, costs, and KPIs. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and contracts. Identify opportunities to streamline operations and grow the transport business. Candidate Requirements: CPC qualification (essential). Valid HGV licence (essential). Strong understanding of transport compliance and regulations.
