Transport Supervisor Location:Sunbury on ThamesSalary:£37,000Job Type: Permanent The Opportunity Loom Talent is working with a well-established logistics and transport business to recruit an experienced Transport Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of a busy transport operation. This is a hands-on operational role with responsibility for drivers, fleet performance, transport compliance, customer service and operational efficiency. You will play a key role in ensuring the operation runs safely, efficiently and in line with customer and regulatory requirements. The Role Working closely with the wider management team, you will oversee the daily transport operation, ensuring customers receive a high level of service while maintaining strong standards across driver management, fleet compliance and operational performance. Key responsibilities will include: Managing the day-to-day transport operation and driver workforce. Coordinating company vehicles and subcontracted transport to deliver customer requirements efficiently. Ensuring drivers are appropriately briefed and debriefed. Acting as a key point of contact for customers and supporting strong customer relationships. Monitoring transport performance and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service levels. Managing driver performance, training and development, including Driver CPC requirements. Carrying out regular checks on vehicles, trailers and fleet equipment.
