Transport Dispatcher Location: ThameSalary: £31,000 days, £35,000 nights (per annum)Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 offHours: 12-hour shifts Days or NightsJob Type: Full-time, permanent About the Role Vanta Staffing are currently recruiting for a Transport Dispatcher to join a busy transport and logistics operation based in Thame.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in transport, logistics or delivery coordination who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment.The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of transport operations, coordinating drivers and vehicles, monitoring deliveries and collections, and ensuring transport schedules run smoothly.This is primarily a hands-on dispatch and coordination role rather than a supervisory position. We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident communicating with drivers and other departments. Previous management or supervisory experience is not essential.Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily transport and delivery schedules. Allocate jobs, deliveries and collections to drivers and vehicles. Communicate with drivers throughout the shift, providing instructions and operational updates. Monitor vehicle movements and delivery progress to ensure schedules are maintained. Liaise with customers, warehouse teams, depots and other departments.
