Senior Transport OfficerLeicester, Hybrid£18.36 per hourWe are recruiting an experienced Senior Transport Officer for our client, we are looking for the ideal candidate to support a busy assisted transport service, arranging transport for vulnerable children and young people while managing key service contracts.This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you will be expected to hit the ground running, using your experience and initiative to manage routes, resolve issues, and support wider service delivery.Key responsibilities include:Managing transport contracts, including procurement, route planning, retendering and cost negotiationCoordinating transport for SEN and social care users, ensuring safe and efficient service deliveryCommunicating with parents, operators and internal teams to resolve queries and issuesReviewing routes and identifying efficiencies and improvementsSupporting and guiding transport officers within the teamMaintaining accurate records, handling sensitive data and adhering to safeguarding and data protection requirementsWe are looking for candidates with:Experience in SEN or social care transportStrong contract management and operational experienceExcellent communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, professional emailsHigh attention to detail, particularly when working with data and spreadsheetsGood Microsoft Office skills, including ExcelAbility to work independently, use initiative and manage a varied workloadThe roles are offered on an ..... full job details .....
