Transport Controller / PlannerPermanent Position Salary: 28,000 - 30,000 per annumBased in Cannock, Staffordshire The Transport Controller / Planner is responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and management of UK road freight collections and deliveries, ensuring customer requirements are consistently met while optimising operational efficiency. The role demands excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, strong communication with customers, hauliers, and internal stakeholders, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced transport environment.The successful candidate will ensure all transport activities are executed in accordance with company procedures, customer service standards, and regulatory compliance requirements. They will also maintain accurate and up-to-date records across internal systems, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the transport function Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:00pm - 8:00pm (37.5hr per week) No weekend or Bank Holidays, would also consider 11am to 7pm Duties of a Transport Controller / Planner:Planning and scheduling UK collections and deliveriesLiaising with drivers to ensure service commitments are metBuilding strong relationships with transport partnersMonitor the progress of vehicles, collections and deliveries throughout the dayReact quickly to delays, breakdowns, traffic issues and customer changes by re-planning work where necessary.Prioritise urgent and time-critical shipments to ..... full job details .....
