About the Role
This Transport Compliance Admin role in Erdington supports a busy logistics operation, working Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 on a full-time temporary basis covering maternity leave, paying £13.54 hourly. The post-holder oversees vehicle compliance, ensuring MOTs, servicing, inspections and repairs meet required timescales. Duties include monitoring maintenance schedules, booking vehicles into garages, and liaising with suppliers, agencies, drivers and clients to coordinate upkeep. Raising purchase orders for external providers also forms part of the position. Candidates should demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with transport compliance or fleet administration. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Compliance Administrator to join a busy logistics operation. This is an important role responsible for ensuring the company's vehicles remain compliant, maintained and available for operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee vehicle compliance, ensuring MOTs, servicing, inspections and repairs are completed within required timescales.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure vehicles are booked into garages when required.
- Liaise with garages, suppliers, agencies, drivers and clients to coordinate vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Raise Purchase Orders (POs) for agencies and external suppliers.
- Respond quickly and effectively to operational issues, using good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Manage a high volume of emails and telephone calls professionally.
- Communicate effectively with drivers regarding vehicle maintenance, repairs and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate vehicle records and ensure all compliance documentation is up to date.
- Prioritise urgent maintenance and compliance issues to minimise vehicle downtime.
- Provide general administrative support to the transport operation.
- Use Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to maintain records and monitor compliance information.

- Previous experience in transport administration and vehicle compliance – essential.
- Knowledge of MOTs, vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
