Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of our client in Milton Keynes for a Transport Clerk to join their busy and fast-paced transport department on a night shift basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with transport, logistics or administration experience who is looking for a long-term role with genuine opportunities to progress within the transport operation.
Key Responsibilities

Pre-brief and de-brief drivers at the start and end of their shifts
Support the transport team with daily administrative duties
Process and maintain transport, delivery and POD documentation
Monitor vehicle movements and delivery schedules
Liaise with drivers, warehouse teams and customers where required
Update internal transport management systems accurately
Investigate and escalate delivery issues, delays or driver queries
Ensure all compliance records are maintained correctly
Produce reports and complete general transport administration
Carry out other transport office duties as required to support the operation

What We're Looking For

Previous experience within a transport, logistics or distribution environment is desirable
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Confident communication skills with the ability to build relationships with drivers and colleagues
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Ability to work under pressure in a busy transport office
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently on night shifts
