TRANSPORT ASSISTANTJob Title: Transport Assistant Temporary Maternity CoverLocation: Whitchurch (Shropshire)Salary: £35,000 - £36,000Shift: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pmJob Role of the Transport Assistant:A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Transport Assistant to join a busy Sales and Transport team on a 12-month temporary maternity cover contract.This is a varied and fast-paced role, providing essential support to the existing Sales and Transport team and helping to ensure products are delivered to customers on time and in the most cost-effective way. You will work closely with the Sales Manager, Operations and Factory Managers, Supervisors, drivers, third-party hauliers and customers to coordinate daily sales and transport requirements.You will be responsible for taking customer orders, maintaining daily sales plans, arranging transport, monitoring stock, updating systems and spreadsheets, and communicating any sales or transport issues to the relevant teams.Sector Sales and Transport / Food ManufacturingNon-Negotiable Requirements of the Transport Assistant: Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and spreadsheets.Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
