Job Title: Assistant Site Manager - Transport Operations

We''re supporting a large UK retail and e-commerce logistics operation in the search for an Assistant Site Manager to join their high-volume transport operation in Rotherham.

This role sits within a major distribution network supplying hundreds of retail stores while supporting a rapidly growing online business, operating within a highly automated and fast-paced logistics environment.

The Role

Working closely with the Site Manager, you will support the day-to-day leadership of a busy transport operation, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance standards are consistently achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the daily management of a large transport operation
• Leading and coaching team managers and operational teams
• Monitoring KPIs, performance and operational efficiency
• Ensuring full compliance with transport legislation and operator licence requirements
• Driving a strong safety culture and high operational standards
• Identifying and delivering continuous improvement initiatives
• Analysing performance and responding quickly to operational challenges

About You:

• Strong experience within transport or logistics operations
• Proven people leadership and team management skills
• CPC in Transport Management
• Experience working in high-volume logistics or distribution environments
• The ability to drive performance while building a positive working culture
