Transport and Logistics Planner

Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Transport and Logistics Planner to work for a busy organisation based in the Crawley, West Sussex area. The Transport Planner will be working on a shift basis 2pm-10pm Sun-Thurs and will be responsible for the day to day planning of the transport operation.Salary: £35-37KLocation: Office based - CrawleyHours: 2pm-10pm Sun-ThursTransport Planner duties:Ensuring driver team arrive for work on time and arrange cover for absences Correct utilisation of staff and vehicles using the company diary sheet/plannerRoute all vehicles available generating revenue and solid route plans to ensure that routes are both achievable and vehicles are used to best efficiencyMaintaining and updating any amendments throughout the day so the information is live for all to accessHandle driver and customer queriesAnalysing delivery data to ensure the relevant KPIs and revenue targets are achieved on each vehicle.Arrange and oversee loading/pre-loading activity to ensure a timely despatchSkills and experience:Proven Transport or Logistics Planner experience, working in a similar roleExcellent operational and customer service skillsGood geographical knowledge of the ..... full job details .....
