Transport and Logistics Coordinator Location: Skelmersdale, Lancashire Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum DOE The Role Cast UK are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading UK manufacturer as they look to appoint a Transport and Logistics Coordinator to join their growing operation. This is a key role within the business, responsible for coordinating the outbound logistics operation, taking ownership of transport planning, haulier relationships, load optimisation and delivery coordination, ensuring products reach customers and construction sites on time and at the right cost. The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring the smooth running of the transport operation, working closely with production, warehouse, sales, projects and purchasing teams. Key Responsibilities Manage relationships with an established panel of hauliers, ensuring reliable service and competitive costs. Plan and coordinate outbound loads, maximising vehicle utilisation and consolidating deliveries where possible. Arrange collections and deliveries across multiple destinations. Allocate transport based on route, load requirements, availability and cost. Monitor haulier performance with reports. Coordinate despatch schedules with production to ensure customer deadlines are met. Liaise with warehouse and production teams to ensure goods are ready for collection.
