Transport Administrator, based in Stow-on-the-Wold, Paying £25,000-£30,000, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. Flexibility may be required depending on operational needs, Holiday: 30 days inclusive of UK Bank Holidays (all Bank Holidays must be booked in advance)

We are seeking a Transport Administrator to join our client’s transport and logistics team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a professional and collaborative team within a fast-paced, structured environment, where organisation and attention to detail are highly valued.

You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the transport and logistics department. Responsibilities include coordinating deliveries, maintaining accurate records, processing Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation, and ensuring compliance across all transport activities.

Key Responsibilities:
·         Manage incoming and outgoing transport documentation, including PODs, invoices, and delivery notes.
·         Ensure timely processing, validation, and archiving of PODs.
·         Coordinate delivery schedules and updates with drivers and third-party carriers.
·         Track deliveries and maintain accurate delivery logs and records.
·         Update internal systems daily with transport status and records.
·         Liaise with warehouse staff, suppliers, and customers to resolve queries.
·         Ensure all documentation is filed and stored according to compliance requirements.
·         Support the Operations Manager in maintaining transport records for audits.
·         Prepare weekly and monthly reports on deliveries and transport KPIs.
·         Escalate unresolved or critical issues to the Operations Manager.

Skills & Experience Required:

·         Previous experience in transport, logistics, or administrative roles (preferred)
·         Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
·         Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
·         Familiarity with transport management systems (TMS) is an advantage
·         Clear written and verbal communication skills
·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team
·         Problem-solving mindset and proactive attitude
