Transport administrator

Gi are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable transport admin for morning shifts in Daventry. This is a temp to perm roleRate 14.10 per hour 27,495 per annum Shift pattern Monday to Friday 06:00-14:00 Job Purpose:To oversee the transport operations in line with the daily requirements on site to satisfy the needs of the customer efficiently and effectively, whilst ensuring full compliance with health and safety processes and procedures.Key Responsibilities / tasks: Ensure all company processes and procedures are followed with regard to all operational activity. Responsible for the afternoon transport planning:o Dispatch and debrief drivers as per company policyo Ensure all paperwork is completed and filed correctlyo Ensure depot compliance is up to date on Tacho management system, and all infringements are signed off in a timely manner.o Investigate and rectify any missing mileageo Manage breakdowns and defects in a timely mannero Send appropriate and accurate handover Complete a full walk around and deck check at the beginning and end of the shift and check system / action as required. Manage fleet compliance, booking any servicing and MOT''s, updating files and online tracking tools. Ensure all inbound /outbound freight is managed effectively, allocated to the correct areas ready for onwards movement, and that hold freight and returns are stored as required.
