Transformation Portfolio Director, Analytics (m|f|x)

Overview

This is a unique opportunity to join the Data and Analytics Division of The London Stock Exchange Group as the Transformation Portfolio Director for Analytics. The role reports directly to the Head of DandA Transformation within the Chief Operating Office and serves the DandA Analytics business. Analytics provides market-leading cross-asset analytics models, software and Generative AI solutions for Financial Service customers across the globe, is one of highest growth areas of the Group and plays a central role in LSEG’s flagship and industry-leading partnership with Microsoft.The successful candidate will partner with the Group Head of Analytics and the CIO Analytics to define and deliver the investment portfolio for Analytics with an annual investment budget of £30m+. He/she will play a central role in investment prioritisation, portfolio management, delivery oversight, governance, financial management and reporting, working with the broader Transformation Leadership Team to ensure robust and timely delivery of programme outcomes within the Group’s Change Framework. The role will directly manage a team of around 5 FTE.Responsibilities

Partner with Group Head of Analytics and Analytics CIO to translate the Analytics product strategy into an associated Transformation roadmap, programme and architecture blueprintLead the investment planning process for Analytics, developing and maintaining initiative business cases and running associated portfolio prioritisation activities to ensure optimal capital allocationDeliver the Analytics programme portfolio, ensuring timely delivery of business outcomes, financial benefits and milestones within budget. Define and maintain dynamic portfolio management to ensure flexibility to address project overspends or fund new projects outside of annual planning processesDefine and maintain portfolio and programme governance, ensuring robust delivery oversight, risk and dependency management, financial management and reporting aligned with the Group’s Change FrameworkManage the change and product roadmaps, orchestrating dependency management and cross-portfolio communications to ensure transparency and accountabilityProactively identify and resolve key delivery issues, ensuring clear escalations and strategic decision making to remove barriers to execution or mitigate risksMaintain best-in-class programme reporting, fulfilling central PMO requirements whilst ensuring full transparency for DandA and Group ExecutivesPromote and foster cross-functional collaboration across a broad range of LSEG and Microsoft stakeholders, providing collegiate leadership consistent with the LSEG Group ValuesLead, coach and mentor programme and project managers within direct report line and across the DandA Transformation communityExtensive previous portfolio and programme management experience, demonstrated track record in delivering strategic and complex programmes within a matrix environmentDeep understanding of core programme management disciplines, eagerness to adopt and facilitate agile change frameworksAbility to engage with technical product managers and engineering teams through immersion in the content of programmes, not just running a processProactiveness and energy to identify key issues / roadblocks and work collaboratively with stakeholders to drive through prompt resolutionStrong financial management skills in terms of business case development, budget and benefits managementDeep interest in Analytics and AI strategies and products, prior experience a bonusExcellent interpersonal, presenting and relationship management skills at all levels of the organisation, including C-level stakeholders and 3rd partiesAttention to detail, ability to lead and quality assure best-in-class planning, reporting and forecastingProven ability to manage / develop a high performing teamDegree (or equivalent) and relevant professional qualificationProficiency in Powerpoint and Excel to Advanced levelAbout LSEG
