Transfer Station Manager

Astutes Power Team are working with a leading Waste Management company with portfolio of Material Recovery, Waste Transfer and Energy Recovery facilities across Central and East London. We are looking for a Transfer Station Manager to run the day to day operations on their facility located on the Thames in Wandsworth. Responsibilities and duties of the Transfer Station Manager role: You will be responsible for:Manage the day-to-day operation of the Transfer Station, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant service deliveryLead, manage and develop operational teams, including workforce planning, training and performanceEnsure waste operations comply with company procedures, Health and Safety legislation and Environmental Permit requirementsMonitor site performance, throughput, KPIs and resource requirementsManage vehicle movements, tipping operations, contractors, plant and equipmentLead incident investigations, site inspections and corrective actions where requiredSupport budget management, cost control and continuous improvement initiativesMaintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, local authorities and regulatory bodiesProfessional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:WAMITAB Level 4 or equivalent would be advantageousIOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH or relevant Health and Safety qualification would be advantageousExperience of Environmental ..... full job details .....
