The Transactional Manager will lead and develop the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of high-volume financial transactions while maintaining strong working capital management.
Description
The key responsibilities of a Transactional Manager will include:
- Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable function across the Group, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, subcontractor payments, credit cards, and expenses.
- Maintain strong controls over supplier onboarding, payment approvals, and banking processes while managing supplier relationships and ensuring CIS compliance where required.
- Lead Accounts Receivable and credit control across all group entities, ensuring accurate invoicing aligned with project milestones and contractual terms.
- Manage debtor balances, drive timely collections, and work with commercial teams to resolve billing queries and payment delays.
- Monitor aged debt, manage credit insurance cover, and support effective cash flow management.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the AP and AR teams, setting clear objectives and promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong financial controls across transactional processes and support internal and external audits.
- Support the integration of newly acquired businesses into group systems, controls, and financial processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process improvements, automation, and system enhancements.
Profile
The successful Transactional Manager will include:
Proven experience managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
Strong transactional finance background within construction, engineering, or project-based environments.
Experience leading and developing finance teams.
Knowledge of CIS and subcontractor payment processes.
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
Strong systems skills with experience using finance or ERP systems.
High attention to detail and a strong financial controls mindset.
