Transactional Finance Manager/Team Leader

Hays Accountancy and Finance are supporting an established organisation in Leeds to recruit an experienced Transactional Finance Manager / Team Leader on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional with strong operational finance and people management experience to lead a busy finance function and drive continuous improvement across core finance processes.Your New RoleYou will be responsible for leading the day-to-day transactional finance function, ensuring financial operations are delivered accurately, efficiently and in accordance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.Key responsibilities include:Managing and developing a team of Finance Assistants, allocating workloads and monitoring performanceLeading all day-to-day finance operations, ensuring work is prioritised and completed within agreed service standardsProviding expert financial guidance and support to stakeholders across the organisationReviewing and approving monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controlsActing as a key contact for internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate information is providedManaging complex financial queries and resolving operational issuesBuilding and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, banks and professional advisersCalculating and processing financial payments, remittances and reconciliationsIdentifying opportunities to improve finance processes, ..... full job details .....
