Training Lead – Health & Social Care
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Training Lead to join a well-established, privately owned care organisation with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and supporting its staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate health and social care trainer who wants to have a genuine impact on the quality of care delivered to clients, while helping carers and office-based staff develop their skills, confidence and competence.
Reporting directly to the Head of People, you will take responsibility for the end-to-end training process, ensuring staff receive the right training at the right time and that all training remains compliant with regulatory and sector requirements.
You will also play an important role in supporting the organisation''s continued growth, including developing training for new care specialisms and improving existing training processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end training process for carers and staff.
- Lead, develop and coach carers to deliver safe, effective and high-quality care.
- Maintain the central training matrix and coordinate refresher training.
- Ensure training complies with national occupational standards, sector guidance and regulatory requirements.
- Travel to clients'' homes to deliver update training and competency assessments.
- Provide practical, hands-on guidance and support to care staff.
- Research, develop and deliver new training modules as new care specialisms are introduced.
- Continually review and update existing training to reflect current best practice.
- Provide advice and pastoral support to carers by telephone and in person.
- Monitor training performance, completion rates and key training metrics.
- Maintain your own CPD and professional qualifications.
- Support the wider business with additional responsibilities where required.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years'' experience in healthcare or social care training.
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or PTLLS).
- Current and valid Moving & Handling Train the Trainer qualification.
- Current and valid Medication Train the Trainer qualification.
- Current and valid Basic Life Support Train the Trainer qualification.
- Proven experience developing and delivering engaging training within a health and social care environment.
- Strong understanding of high-quality care standards and best practice.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using e-learning or learning management platforms.
