Trainee/Semi Senior Accountant Opportunity in Harrogate

A well-established chartered accountancy practice in Harrogate is offering an excellent opportunity for an Accountant early in their career.-

The role is ideally suited to someone with 2+ years'' experience in practice, who can work closely with Senior staff whilst also providing some support to others in the team.-

The successful candidate will gain broad exposure across multiple service lines including Accounts, Tax, Audit.-

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts for a variety of SME clients
• Supporting the audit team with statutory audit assignments
• Preparing and submitting VAT Returns
• Assisting with bookkeeping and financial record maintenance
• Supporting payroll processing for a range of clients
• Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax compliance work
• Learning core accounting and compliance processes across general practice
• Working closely with senior team members on client assignments
• Building technical knowledge while progressing through professional qualifications
• Supporting wider practice administration and client service delivery

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess:

• 2+ years'' of experience within an accountancy practice-
• AAT/ACA/ACCA studier - support can be provided-
• Positive and proactive attitude toward professional development
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting more junior members-
