Trainee Toolsetter
Starting your career in engineering? We''re looking for a motivated hands on worker to learn tool-setting for CNC milling machines. This is a hands-on role with on-the-job training and support from experienced team members to help you build practical skills and progress within the workshop.Key responsibilitiesLearn to work from tooling setting sheets and job instructionsAssist with setting milling cutters, drills and other tooling into holders (training provided)Deliver and collect tools to/from machines and support tool breakdown on job completionKeep the tool-setting area clean, organised and safeHelp maintain tool holders, vices and other workshop equipmentSupport tooling stock control and help order consumables as requiredDevelop the ability to prioritise tasks and meet production deadlinesSkills and experience (ideal for career starters)Genuine interest in engineering, machining, or hands-on workshop workAny workshop/assembly experience is helpful but not necessarily essential - we will train the right personGood attention to detail and reliable timekeepingWillingness to learn, follow processes and work methodicallyExcellent team communication skillsEducationGCSE English and Maths (A-C) or equivalent (or working towards)What''s on offerOn-the-job training and mentoring in precision engineeringClear development and progression opportunitiesThis is a permanent job with a starting salary dependant on experience.
