Trainee Toolmaker

Red Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Trainee Toolmaker on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in toolmaking. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will receive hands-on training in the manufacture, maintenance and repair of tooling while gaining valuable experience within a busy production environment. Key Responsibilities: Assisting with the manufacture and maintenance of tooling and precision components Supporting experienced Toolmakers with repairs and modifications Using a variety of engineering equipment and hand tools Reading and interpreting engineering drawings Carrying out routine inspections and quality checks Maintaining a clean and organised work area Following all Health and Safety procedures Continuously developing your technical skills through on-the-job training Requirements: A qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Toolmaking or a similar engineering discipline A genuine interest in pursuing a career in toolmaking Good mechanical aptitude and practical skills Ability to read engineering drawings (advantageous but not essential) Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Reliable, motivated and able to work as part of a team What''s on Offer: 14.50 per hour Monday to Friday day shifts with an early finish every Friday Full training and ongoing development Opportunity to build a ..... full job details .....
