We are seeking a highly motivated and career-minded individual to join our Food Safety & Quality department as a Trainee Technical Account Manager. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career while liaising with key UK retailers and playing a pivotal role within a growing team.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Work collaboratively between customers and internal teams to ensure the delivery of Food Safety & Quality requirements across technical and operational functions.
- Build strong working relationships with customers and site teams, positioning the business as a supplier of choice.
- Uphold company standards through positive, proactive, and professional conduct.
- Represent the Food Safety & Quality function in customer head office meetings, including development gate meetings, technical reviews, and product reviews.
- Coordinate and host customer visits and audits, ensuring effective follow-up on any actions.
- Liaise with the New Product Development team regarding food safety aspects of product launches.
- Monitor KPIs and work with site teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Review packaging artwork to ensure legal compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain raw material and finished product specifications, along with quality attribute documentation.
- Conduct product assessments to ensure alignment with agreed production standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year''s experience within the food industry.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Science, or a related field.
- Understanding of retailer and customer technical requirements.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Knowledge of food safety, labelling legislation, and audit standards.
- Confident managing stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive approach to learning and professional development.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
