Trainee Mortgage Advisor

Must have’s

• Previous commercial, office-based or customer-facing experience
• Genuine interest in building a career in mortgage advice
• Excellent communication and telephone skills

• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong administrative and IT skills
• Professional, customer-focused approach

Nice to have’s

• Experience within customer service, banking, financial services or estate agency
• Understanding of the home-buying process
• Sales or target-driven experience
• Knowledge of mortgage or protection products
• CeMAP qualification

So, what will you be doing?

• Supporting experienced Mortgage Advisors with mortgage administration
• Managing applications from initial enquiry through to completion
• Speaking with clients and delivering excellent customer service throughout the mortgage journey
• Liaising with lenders, solicitors, surveyors, estate agents and other third parties
• Preparing and maintaining accurate client records and documentation
• Providing administrative support to the wider mortgage team
• Developing your knowledge of mortgage products, lender criteria and FCA regulations
• Building the skills and confidence needed to progress into a Mortgage Advisor role
