Trainee Machine Operator

Role: Trainee Machine Operator - Manufacturing 
Location: Dudley
Pay: £12.50ph + £75 bonus every two weeks (Progression available)

Are you an experienced machine operator looking to take your next step in a hands-on, long-term manufacturing role£ We’re working with a well-established company in the Dudley area that produce packaging products for a variety of industries. They are looking to grow their team with reliable, motivated individuals.

This role offers full training on specialist machinery and a clear progression path with increasing pay levels and responsibility. You’ll need to be physically fit, comfortable with manual handling and lifting, and happy to work long shifts on a structured rota.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operating and monitoring production machinery in a fast-paced environment
- Performing quality checks and ensuring output meets production standards
- Assisting with machine changeovers and setups as training progresses
- Manual handling and lifting of materials/products as part of the daily role
- Keeping your workstation clean and following all safety procedures

Suitable candidates will have:

- Previous experience in a machine operating or production role is essential
- Physically fit and confident with manual handling
- Able to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating weekly rota
- A positive attitude, good attention to detail, and willingness to learn
- Long-term mindset with an interest in career progression

Shift Patterns: 
Working on a 4 weekly rotational.
**Please note you will be required to work all the shifts listed below**
Each shifts includes- 1x 30-minute paid break, and 2x 15-minute paid breaks
Days: 

- 60 hours/week - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - 6am to 6pm
- 24 hours/week - Wednesday and Thursday - 6am to 6pm

Nights:

- 60 hours/week - Monday,  Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - 6pm to 6am
- 24 hours/week - Wednesday and Thursday - 6pm to 6am

Hourly Pay and Progression:

- Starting pay: £12.50ph + £75 bonus paid every 2 weeks

Progression Path:

- When trained on all production lines: £14ph + Shift Bonus
- Senior Operator: £16ph + Shift Bonus
