Job Title: Trainee / Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Salary: -25,000 - -30,000 (DOE)

Location: Motherwell - Officed based - Site visits as required

Our client, a specialist roofing and cladding contractor based near Glasgow, is seeking a Trainee / Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their team due to continued growth. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects in partnership with Tier 1 contractors, they operate across the Central Belt on a range of roofing and fa-ade packages.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or junior-level Quantity Surveyor to develop their career within a supportive and experienced commercial team. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience across all stages of project delivery, working alongside senior surveyors on live projects.

Trainee / Graduate Quantity Surveyor - Role Overview

• Assisting with the management of project costs from pre-construction through to final accounts
  * Supporting the preparation of cost plans, valuations and financial reports
  * Assisting with subcontractor procurement and package management
  * Supporting variation management and change control processes
  * Working closely with site teams and senior commercial staff
  * Assisting in monitoring project budgets and cost control
  * Gaining exposure to multiple roofing and cladding projects across the Central Belt

Trainee / Graduate Quantity Surveyor - Requirements

• Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
  * Some industry experience (placement or post-graduate) desirable but not essential
  * Strong interest in developing a career within Quantity Surveying
  * Good numerical, analytical and organisational skills
  * Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  * Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
  * Based within commuting distance of Glasgow
  * Full UK driving licence (desirable)
