Trainee Furniture Sprayer and Finisher

Our clients is a specialist joinery manufacturer producing high-quality bespoke furniture and joinery. We are seeking a trainee Furniture Sprayer & Finisher to join their team and contribute to the finishing of our custom-made pieces.

Job Role:
As a Furniture Sprayer & Finisher, you will be responsible for the preparation and finishing of high-end furniture and joinery items. You will ensure the highest quality standards in surface preparation, priming, painting, lacquering, and finishing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and sanding furniture and joinery components for finishing

• Applying primers, paints, lacquers, and stains to achieve the required finish

• Ensuring all finishes meet our high-quality standards

• Colour matching and mixing paints as required

• Maintaining spray booths and finishing areas to ensure cleanliness and efficiency

• Working with a variety of materials including wood, MDF, and veneers

• Assisting in the development of improved finishing techniques and processes

• Adhering to health and safety regulations, ensuring proper use of PPE and ventilation systems

Requirements & Skills:

• Experience in spraying and finishing, preferably in a joinery workshop is desirable

• Painting or Spraying experience, including alternatively, experience in car spraying or construction sites

• Strong knowledge of paint, lacquer, and staining techniques

• Ability to work with different finishes such as matt, satin, and high gloss

• Attention to detail and commitment to high standards
