We are recruiting for a number of Trainee Field Technicians across the Bournemouth area. No previous water industry experience is required as full training will be provided.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates from driving, warehouse, labouring, meter reading, construction, utilities or other hands-on roles who are looking for a career change.

The Role

As a Trainee Field Technician, you will support leak detection activities across the water network using specialist equipment and technology. You will play an important role in helping to identify leaks, reduce water loss and protect vital water resources.

Duties will include:

• Using specialist equipment to record acoustic sound data across water networks
• Working independently across urban and suburban areas
• Maintaining accurate records using handheld technology
• Liaising with supervisors and colleagues
• Working towards agreed performance targets
• Travelling within your designated area
• Working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions

What We''re Looking For

• Full UK manual driving licence
• Comfortable working outdoors and travelling throughout the day
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
