Trainee Estimator / Quantity Surveyor Dunstable, Bedfordshire Salary up to £30,000 Full-time 8am 5pm 25 days holiday Bonus Pension Full training This is a good opportunity to start or develop a career as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor with a construction company in Dunstable. The role is open to school leavers, trainees and candidates who already have some experience in estimating or quantity surveying. Working with the estimating and commercial team, you will learn how construction projects are priced and managed from the first enquiry through to completion. Projects include education, commercial fit-out, refurbishment and healthcare schemes valued from £1m to £10m. Trainee Estimator / Quantity Surveyor duties • Assist with construction estimates, tenders and quotations • Take measurements from drawings and specifications • Obtain prices from subcontractors and suppliers • Compare quotations and check costs • Assist with cost control, valuations and commercial reports • Visit sites when required and work with the wider project team Who this role would suit • A school leaver looking for a first job in construction estimating or quantity surveying • A trainee or junior candidate with some estimating or quantity surveying experience • Someone interested in construction costs, drawings and how projects are put together Salary and benefits • Salary up to £30,000, depending on experience • Dunstable office • Bonus and pension • 25 days holiday • Full training from an ..... full job details .....
