Key Responsibilities:-As a trainee-Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our team, responsible for:
- Reviewing technical drawings and initial scope of works for all enquiries.
- Developing bill of quantities for steelwork and associated products within tenders.
- Forecasting fabrication, metal finish, and installation requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and procedures.
- Producing final tender documents, including cost base and scope of works.
- Updating Enquiry Management Access database with relevant information.
- Liaising with clients, attending sites for surveys when necessary.
- Agreeing specifications of work with clients and maintaining communication.
- Periodically contacting customers to follow up on tender acceptance.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Good numeracy and grammar skills.
- Detailed knowledge of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements.
- Technical understanding of structural designs and materials.
- Strong time management skills for managing multiple tender enquiries.
- Commercial awareness and ability to seek additional project work.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Disciplined approach to documentation administration.
