What is Electroplating? Electroplating is a surface treatment process used to restore, protect, or enhance components. At its core, electroplating uses an electrical current to deposit a thin layer of metal (like chromium, nickel, or cadmium) onto a component. It''s a mix of hands-on engineering, chemistry, and precision workmanship, and it plays a crucial role in keeping aircraft components safe and airworthy.
