Trainee Electroplater Hitchin Location: Hitchin Job Type: Full-time Temporary to Permanent Pay: £12.80 per hour to start, with a pay rise once fully trainedOur client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Hitchin, is looking for a Trainee Electroplater to join their production team.This is a great opportunity for someone with production or manufacturing experience who is looking to learn a skilled trade. Full training will be provided, and there is an opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right person.The Role The successful candidate will work with manufactured components and learn a range of electroplating processes, including nickel and zinc plating.Duties will include: Assisting with different electroplating processes following full training.Preparing components ready for plating.Loading and unloading products safely and efficiently.Jigging and wiring parts during busy periods.Carrying out quality checks and ensuring attention to detail.Following health and safety procedures.Keeping the work area clean and organised.Supporting the wider production team when required. The Ideal Candidate Previous production or manufacturing experience is essential.Experience with powder coating, chemicals, metal finishing or similar production work would be an advantage.Someone who is keen to learn and develop a new skilled trade.Good attention to detail is essential.Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.Ability to follow and interpret ..... full job details .....
