Excellent opportunity within a family-owned business, for trainee Composite GRP/Fibreglass Manufacturing/Finishing Operatives with initial earnings of £13.50 per hour, rising on successful completion of training, based in Kidderminster.

Quantum Mouldings Ltd is a key player in the supply of finished GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) parts, supplying many markets including automotive, industrial, leisure and advertising industries. Quantum is a family owned business which employs around 47 people on their Kidderminster site. Please look at our website for further details.

Due to growth, we have an opportunity to recruit trainees for our GRP (Fibreglass) manufacturing site. We have a successful and proven trainee programme to learn the skills necessary to make and finish high quality GRP / fibreglass parts.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants to develop valuable skills in a specialist manufacturing industry.

Working alongside experienced technicians, you will receive training in:

• GRP moulding and laminating techniques
• Product finishing and assembly techniques
• Safe use of manufacturing tools and equipment
• Quality inspection procedures
• Health and safety best practices

• Practical or mechanical aptitude is beneficial but not essential
• Previous manufacturing experience is welcomed but not required

Hours of Work
40 hours per week

Factory opening hours.
Monday-Friday
6:00am – 14:30pm or 7:00am – 15:30pm 6:00am – 14:30pm or 7:00am – 15:30pm

Benefits
Factory employees are entitled to 22 days annual holiday plus national holidays (plus additional day holiday for every 5 years of service) and Paycare healthcare plan (includes partner).
