Location: Farnborough 

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (full training provided)

Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Trainee Audio Visual Engineer on behalf of one of our Clients.

Our Client is keen to offer training opportunities to Veterans from all 3 services who are keen to learn & progress their career in the AV sector. This role would be suitable for candidates that have a trade or experience in electronics, communications, networking or information technology. Right from the beginning you’ll work on projects that introduce you to the business and prepare you for your career, you will be assigned with a mentor who has previous armed forces experience to help guide your career and ensure you make the most of the opportunities available. You will also be given training to qualify as a Certified Technology Specialist™ (CTS®).

Duties & Responsibilities (once trained):

• Installation, commissioning and testing of a range of Audio / Visual systems.
• Maintenance and fault calls on and Audio / Visual systems.
• Interpreting and understanding proposal documents, schematics and drawings.
• Accurate and timely completion of all work related documentation including but not limited to test results, commissioning information, drawings and O&M information.
• Interfacing with other systems and sub-contractors, in particular but not limited to structured cabling systems, meeting room lighting and environmental systems and the wider building intelligence.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience in any of the following is highly desirable:
• IT.
• Communications.
• Networking.
• Electronics / Electrical.
