Trainee Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist (Annex 21) – Haemoglobinopathy Service – GlasgowNHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.This is a full time (37 hours) permanent position worked Monday to Friday on an Annex 21.To act as a member of a multidisciplinary team providing nursing management predominantly of adults with thalassaemia and sickle cell disease.To work as part of the wider nursing team, being the main point of contact for the patients. The post holder will be part of a multidisciplinary team, including Consultant Haematologists, Haematology nurses, and day unit staff.This role encompasses autonomous practice, caseload management and a level of specialist knowledge and intervention, required by a specific patient group, their carers and other staff involved in the care delivery process.
