WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday 07:30 – 15:30 (Overtime available)
Role Overview:
TEXO Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Trailer Technician to join a busy Fleet Department. The successful candidate will maintain and repair HGV trailers, ensuring all equipment is safe, fully operational, and maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete planned 8-weekly inspections on HGV trailers.
- Carry out maintenance and repairs using proven trailer technician expertise.
- Conduct on-site repairs as required.
- Apply strong knowledge of pneumatics and electrics to diagnose and fix issues.
- Ensure all work is completed to company standards and in line with health and safety policies.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Proactively identify potential faults and implement solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Time-served HGV/trailer technician with recognised qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach, able to respond to operational needs at short notice in all weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices and adherence to company policies.
