Trailer Body Technician

We are recruiting an experienced Welder/Fabricator & Body Shop Technician to join a busy commercial trailer workshop based in Leighton Buzzard. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of commercial trailers, carrying out repairs, modifications, and installations in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Overview / Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks to repair and modify commercial trailers and related components.
• Carry out structural repairs, including floor replacements, curtain side repairs, and pelmet renewals.
• Repair and install curtain sides, roller shutters, and rear barn doors.
• Conduct fibreglass and filler work to maintain and restore vehicle body integrity.
• Diagnose and resolve a wide range of trailer issues across a diverse fleet.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and meets high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with other technicians to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator or Trailer Body Shop Technician.
• Experience working on commercial trailers, including curtain sides, roller shutters, and structural repairs.
• Skilled in welding, fabrication, fibreglass, and filler work.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Salary & Benefits

• Pay: -16-17 per hour
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00-17:30, with optional overtime and Saturday rota.
• Holiday: 20 days plus bank holidays
