Overview

Duties

• Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic to minimise congestion and prevent accidents
• Manage access points, verifying authorised entry and exit of personnel and vehicles
• Maintain clear signage and signals to guide traffic effectively
• Assist with site maintenance tasks related to traffic flow, such as setting up barriers or cones
• Conduct routine inspections of the traffic management area to identify potential hazards
• Communicate effectively with drivers, site personnel, and visitors to ensure smooth operations
• Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly to the relevant authorities
• Support in managing site logistics, including vehicle parking arrangements

Skills

• Strong management abilities to coordinate traffic movements efficiently
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with drivers, staff, and visitors
• Basic maintenance knowledge to assist with site equipment or signage upkeep
• Valid driving licence is desirable for operating site vehicles or lorries when required
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond swiftly in emergency situations
• Organised approach to managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Awareness of health and safety regulations relevant to traffic management environments
