Are you a safety-conscious, vigilant and experienced Traffic Marshall with proven airside experience to support safe vehicle and personnel movements on our live airport construction site. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing site traffic in line with airport safety regulations, supporting logistics teams, and maintaining a safe working environment in a high-security, fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate the movement of vehicles and plant equipment within landside and airside operational zones.
- Maintain safe traffic flow at access gates, loading areas, and designated crossing points.
- Ensure all vehicle drivers comply with airside driving protocols and site-specific safety instructions.
- Liaise with site logistics teams to support scheduled material deliveries and vehicle movements.
- Monitor pedestrian routes and manage segregation from vehicle traffic.
- Carry out daily visual inspections of traffic routes, barriers, and signage to ensure safety and compliance.
- Report any safety breaches, hazards, or incidents to the site supervisor immediately.
- Communicate effectively with security personnel, delivery drivers, contractors, and airport operations.
- Assist in the implementation of site-specific traffic management plans.
- Conduct basic safety briefings or inductions related to vehicle movement and airside access procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working airside on construction or infrastructure projects.
- Valid Traffic Marshal/Banksman certification (e.g., NPORS or equivalent).
- Awareness of airside safety and airport operational procedures.
- Valid CSCS card (or equivalent construction safety qualification).
- Ability to remain alert and assertive while maintaining professionalism.
- Good communication skills and a safety-first attitude.
- Eligible to obtain (or currently holds) an airside pass and airside driving permit.
- Physically fit and able to work in varying weather conditions.
Desirable
- Previous experience on major airport construction projects (e.g., terminals, runways, taxiways).
- Knowledge of airside vehicle escorting procedures.
- First Aid certification.
- Manual handling training.
Additional Requirements
All successful applicants will be required to:
- Undergo a DBS check as part of airside clearance.
- Obtain relevant airport passes and security clearance before commencing work.
- Complete induction training on airside safety protocols.
