Are you an experienced Traffic Mangagment Operative?
Regional Recruitment are recruiting for a Traffic Mangagment Operative to join a professional and growing traffic management company. This is a hands-on role requiring a reliable and safety-conscious individual who can work effectively as part of a team. You will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management systems while ensuring the safety of road users, pedestrians, and colleagues at all times.

Qualifications
Essential:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- LANTRA Traffic Management Qualification
- Previous experience in traffic management or highways maintenance
- Valid Traffic Management qualification/card (or willingness to obtain)
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desirable:
- TTMBC (12D M1/M2) Card
- M5, M6 or higher traffic management units
- First Aid qualification
Roles & Responsibilities
- Setting up, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management systems.
- Installing traffic signs, cones, barriers, and other traffic control equipment.
- Carrying out site inspections to ensure safe and compliant traffic management operations.
- Monitoring and maintaining traffic flow throughout works.
- Completing daily site documentation and records accurately.
- Ensuring all traffic management equipment is maintained and used correctly.
- Working safely and following all health and safety procedures.
- Liaising with supervisors, colleagues, and clients professionally.
- Responding to emergency traffic management requirements when needed.
- Assisting with traffic management planning and site preparations.
- Working flexible hours, including nights and weekends where required.
- Undertaking any other ad-hoc duties as directed by the company.
Requirements
As a Traffic Management Operative, you will also be expected to:
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and work quality.
- Ensure company vehicles and equipment are kept clean and serviceable.
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
Health, Safety & Compliance

- Comply with all employment legislation and relevant codes of good practice.
- Take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated legislation.
- Co-operate fully with the company and colleagues to ensure statutory and safety requirements are always met.
- Wear appropriate PPE and follow all site-specific safety procedures.
