Traffic Co-ordinatorLewishamLocation: SE6 Rate: £26.94 per hour (PAYE) Working Pattern: Hybrid 3 days onsite, 2 days working from homeThe RoleWe re is seeking an experienced Traffic Co-ordinator to support the effective management of the borough''s highway network. Reporting into the Highways and Network Management team, you will coordinate street works, highway maintenance, utility works, traffic management arrangements and major events to minimise disruption and ensure compliance with the Council''s statutory Network Management Duty under the Traffic Management Act 2004.Key Responsibilities Coordinate highway works, utility works and road space activities across the borough.Manage the full lifecycle of Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs).Coordinate traffic management for planned works, emergency works and major events.Lead the Council''s crane licensing process and highway licence coordination.Liaise with utility companies, contractors, TfL, emergency services and internal stakeholders.Ensure compliance with the Traffic Management Act 2004, New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.Monitor network performance, maintain accurate records and support continuous service improvement.Prepare communications relating to road closures, traffic management and highway activities.
