Job Title: Trade Engineer - Bricklayer
Contract Type: 12-week temporary contract (possible extension)
Location: Coventry, CV3
Salary: -35,162 per annum (-18.28 per hour)
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Job Purpose
To carry out maintenance, repairs, and planned works across a range of properties, with a primary focus on bricklaying. The role supports the delivery of high-quality services within Maintenance Operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bricklaying tasks and associated trade duties to support maintenance and repair works.
- Carry out slabbing and fencing works as required.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and organisational policies.
- Maintain up-to-date qualifications and training to meet regulatory and operational requirements.
- Provide support to other trade engineers on-site when required.
- Operate company vehicles in accordance with organisational procedures and driving policies.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times.
- Accurately record and update job/task information using designated systems.
- Deliver excellent customer service, representing the organisation professionally.
- Manage and maintain company tools, equipment, and van stock in line with procedures.
Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Qualifications: NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 in Bricklaying.
- Experience:
- Proven expertise in bricklaying and related tasks.
- Experience in slabbing and fencing.
- Experience working with customers and contractors/subcontractors.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve work-related issues.
- Comfortable with manual handling and working in multi-storey buildings (up to 16 storeys).
- Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of bricklaying techniques and associated trades.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
