Trade Counter Sales Assistant

A well-established glazing and glass supplier is seeking a Trade Counter Sales Assistant / Trade Sales Advisor to join their team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role suited to someone with experience in trade counter sales or construction-related environments.You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing orders, and offering expert advice on glazing products and materials.Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 5:00pmFriday: 7:30am - 4:00pmNo weekend workKey ResponsibilitiesServe customers at the trade counter, providing advice on glazing products and materialsProcess sales orders, quotations, and invoices accurately (using Xero or similar systems)Cut bespoke glass to customer specifications (training can be provided)Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-sellingMaintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked trade counter areaMonitor stock levels and liaise with suppliersReceive and check deliveries, ensuring stock is booked in correctlyFollow company procedures and health and safety regulationsRequirementsExperience in trade counter sales, builder''s merchants, glazing, construction, or similar sectorsExperience with Xero or similar order processing/accounting software is advantageousStrong customer service and sales skillsExcellent communication and relationship-building abilityGood attention to detail and organisational skillsBasic IT and numeracy skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary (£30,000 - £32,000 DOE)Full-time, permanent positionStable ..... full job details .....
