Job Title:Town PlannerLocation: AshbyThe Team and Focus of the RolePenguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well established and growing Planning team based in Ashby. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and developing the team''s planning consultancy services, contributing to a wide range of projects across multiple sectors.You''ll work closely with colleagues across a multidisciplinary business to identify cross-divisional opportunities, develop new client relationships, and take the lead on diverse and engaging planning projects. These include residential, commercial, retail, and leisure developments, covering everything from site appraisals and site promotion to full planning applications.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and prioritise your own project caseloadDeliver high-quality planning advice and client serviceMentor junior colleagues, including supporting through the APC processPrepare initial site reviews, site-specific strategies, and planning submissionsProvide bespoke planning advice to clientsPrepare, submit, and manage planning applications and associated reportsPrepare site submissions and Local Plan representationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients and consultants (architects, engineers, ecologists, etc.)Engage positively with local authorities, members of the public, and other stakeholdersAttend and lead project meetingsNegotiate to secure optimal outcomes for clientsManage budgets, time recording, and ..... full job details .....
