An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Town Planner to join a growing planning consultancy based in central Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious planner to join a growing team, working on large-scale residential projects for high-profile clients, including major strategic land firms and housebuilders.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Town Planner with a strong understanding of the planning system and a genuine interest in delivering successful development projects.

You will ideally have:

• An RTPI accredited BSc/MSc, or equivalent qualification, in Planning or a related discipline such as Environmental Planning or Surveying
• Chartered status with the RTPI, or be close to achieving chartership
• Demonstrable planning experience, ideally within consultancy or a client-facing environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Within the role you will:

• Prepare and submit planning applications on behalf of clients
• Draft planning statements and supporting planning documents
• Gather evidence and assist with the submission of appeals
• Assist with public inquiries
• Undertake research on local, regional and national planning policy
• Liaise with clients, local councils and stakeholders
• Deliver planning advice and support throughout the development process
